At 14, Jay began cutting hair for friends and family in Allentown, PA, motivated by a meme about taking risks. He worked at his uncle's barbershop, starting as a shopkeeper and quickly progressing to cutting hair as demand grew. Nicknamed "The Monster", he dedicated countless late nights to his craft. After three years, he relocated to Orlando, FL, to live with his father and finish high school, charging $5 to $10 per haircut to build his reputation.
His hard work led to a chair at one of the best Barbershop in Orlando. As a fourth generation barber, he now cuts hair daily, attends industry events, focuses on developing successful barbers, fostering community and networking. His discipline and work ethic drive his success and motivate him to take greater risks for even bigger rewards.
